I agree with you but i also think that it would be a good idea down the road if we had an airline of our own. For the moment any Haitian airline who attempts to compete with a major US airline will be crushed.

Air Jamaica is successful because it is backed by the Jamiacan government and they also have a strong tourism industry, for a haitian airline to succeed it would need to be supported by the Haitian government.

But our government is limited in financial resources.

The other problem is that most of the people who fly to Haiti are haitians and diplomats.

That number is great but it pales the millions of tourists who visit other carribean islands in a year. See if we had tourists from different countries visiting haiti and financial support from the government a haitian airline could probably survive but the tourism industry is also nonexistence for the moment.
