It is good to hear of your interest and I know others are interested also. Here is my suggestion to make this possible at reasonable cost. I have commercial pilots license but no aircarft and live in Daytona Beach where we have flight schools and I can get fully licensed pilots who need to build flying hours and will help with the piloting for no cost. Here is my suggestion.

We need to form a group interested to return for visits and go as a group, stay as a group and provide for our own security.

We also need to purchase an aircraft which will pay for itself in time as we make numberous trips back and for. I lived and workded in Haiti and was pilot for Ernest Bennett (father-in-law of Baby Doc) and while I wasn't born in Haiti have political interest in seeing Haiti become independent and seeing the situation change in Haiti for the better.

If you and others are interested in the aircraft idea you can go to:www.trade-a-plane.com and nearly all used aircraft in U.S. are at this site or you can ask them to send you a "sample" of their listings newspaper and you can review and consult we me if you find something you are interested in. The way it would work is like a timeshare except ownership would be in several names and in would be a like a dollar a share so if someone put in $10,000. towards purchase of aircraft they would own 10,000 shares and you might contact other Haitian websites to get them invovled or if they read this they can become involved in the idea themselves.

Here are few suggestions for contacts Gera Bougui at facebook who is very active in current Haitian political activies and through him you can contact others about the idea. I believe the future leadership of Haiti will come to those of us who are expats and may now be living in U.S. or elsewhere and want to return and working together we can see this happen.
