Thanks for the history lesson but it is my hope we will now move beyond all this from the past and move forward as people of the human race. To look at me with fair skin, red hair when I was young (now white & grey!), green eyes you would think this is a white man but I have an Arab last name and my grandfather came to U.S. back in 1890s from Syria, married an American woman as did my father so I end up looking like a white boy but I still have an Arab last name so there is part of me that is of color but you would never guess it to look at me. But I think today we should move past the issue of skin color and past classifications and look at Haiti today and its problems which effect the entire society and deal with the solutions to benefit all the people from the darkest to the lightest in skin color.
