I do not know and never receive any evidence that President Rene Preval is a naturalized foreign citizen.

But, if he is, we voted him in good faith.

If it is and your opinion about him was correct, then you just prove to yourself that Haitians should be very watchful about the issue of "dual citizenship".

The Haitian "Diaspora obsession with Dual Citizenship" is more than politics.

However, do you know that by renouncing their Haitian citizenship most Haitian who became a U.S. citizen through naturalization is not considered a natural born citizen?

Consequently, naturalized U.S. citizens are not eligible for certain public offices such as the Presidency and Vice-Presidency of the United States.

Most of them did not know that. Do they petition for the Americans to change their Constitutional Laws?

Therefore, I do not resent them. I feel pity for them. Haiti should have compassion for them when they come with a pure heart.

I am for a reconciled solution that reflects mutual respect and national dignity.
