Haiti Always Been A Failed State Always Chaotic

< Previous | Home | Next >

Do Haitians want a failed state in 2009?

Haiti is in chaos; the people are poor; food prices are high; 70% of the population are unemployed;the island is unstable.

However, its a known fact that Haiti has been a failed state for over 200 years.

There never was a time when the country was not in chaos; There were dictarships disguised as democracies; government corruption is and always was the norm in Haiti.

The US might be concerned about the obvious humanitarian crisis; and specifically about a new waves of refugees to Florida; but the USA has no strategic or security interest in Haiti.

for the economic ties are minimal.

Few countries in the world have had as tragic an experience as has Haiti.

Haitians are so disgusted with the present Preval government they do not even want to vote anymore.

(see article after the video).

If everything is in US dollars in Haiti why don't the government change the worthless gourde for US Dollars?

That would be a genious coup against the devaluation of the Haitian money.

It appears that progress and change that all Haitians can "truly believe in" will have to wait for the end of Preval's term as the "incompetent, mendiant, of Haiti!"
