Good morning Tiba,
Let us keep the conversation civil not about personnality.
The example I gave you regarding President Clinton was to emphasize the idea of this Haitian legislature to only approve the amendment process not to deliberate on it. You said why wait?
The 55 people members of the 1987 Haitian Constitution were not government employees, so the government did not refuse Dual Citizenship to the people.
Remember you said it takes ten (10) to amend the US Constitution, and you complaint because it takes less than six (6) months to amend the Haitian Constitution.
On page 109, TITLE XIII, ARTICLES 282-1 and 283, it stipulates:
Article 282-1
"The declaration must be supported by 2/3 of each of the two Houses.
It may be made only in the course of the last Regular Session of the Legislature period and shall be published immediately throughout the territory."
Article 283
"At the first session of the new legislature, the Houses shall meet in National Assembly to decree on the proposed amendment."
If you are willing to respect the ten (10) years process, how can you complaint about a process that would take six months.
By the way, I am not trying to fool anybody, or brainwash anybody.
The reality is that the Constitution as it is does not recognize YOUR rights as Haitian-born.
