We should investigate before calling for dismissal

You submit a formidable argument and I do agree with to some level.
In any cases police brutality is unacceptable.
But there is what you call necessary use of force to restrain a lawbreaker.
I don't have any facts.
Any information I have from this case I heard it from the radio.
I would support the dismissal of these officers only after an investigation prove their guilt.
We should not make a decision before we know what happened.
I know what the police can do when they don't answer to anyone.
I agree that we must make it clear to them that we will not tolerate abuse.
But we must also hold politicians accountable.
The man is a lawmaker why is he breaking the laws he creates?
I know how people in power behave in Haiti.
I've been at the short end of the stick.
They respect noone. How do we know that the Deputy wasn't the provocateur?
Maybe he physically assaulted the officer first.
Maybe the officer was defending himself.
Suppose Nancy Pelosi was speeding in a school zone where children are present.
And when the police attempt to pull her over instead of stopping she speeds away. Then after a long pursuit they manage to stop her but she's very defiant and even assaults the officers physically during the ordeal.
Now if she's roughed up by the police she's at fault.
The position or title should not take precedence over the action.
It's quite possible that the officers also acted inappropriately but their should be a formal investigation to determine that. We can suspend them while we investigate but we can't fire them yet. We must make it clear to the Legislative Branch that they too will be held accountable and that we will not allow them to break the law.
