On the topic of Go back to school and learn French, Linda, i always manage to respect your opinion even when i desagree with you.I've been around the world and base on my observation that most of the countries that have more than one tongue are poor. Our neighbor, dominican republic is the perfect example, they don't have the language barrier that we, haitians have. I don't know what is the percentage of the haitian population
that could express themselves at ease in french.Let say 5 to 10% of our population that speak, write and understand french, they use it to exploit their brothers, it's about time that we, Haitian speak French or creole to stop us from discriminating against each other.Yes, they speak French and English in canada is not poor.Big brothers in Washington, Paris and London are helping them, most of what we see in Canada are owned by american, french and brittish.
If we were european descent they would build GM, Ford,Honda, Toyota,Frigidaire, Renault in our country to facilitate our people with jobs. We should stop dreaming and take responsability of our own destiny. Our so called engineers sit on their butt doing jack. we shoud start with our educational system, have foreign teachers, send our kids abroard to further their education and come back to help building our beloved country.
