I echo the same opinions or sentiments of everyone that have expressed themselves in regards to the way Haitians are being treated when flying American Airlines but I just don't see this government taking a stand in protecting anyone.

We have many Haitians being abused/mistreated in the Dominican Republic for many years but guess what?

The government has made no efforts to require the Dominican government to improve the living environment of those working in these conditions.

It's sad that some are becoming wealthier and other eating mud as cookies.

Corruption and politic have paralyzed the country and we have been stagnant or moving backwards for over 25 years.

What would it take to move forward?

What would be so difficulty in opening up the market allowing other airlines to enter Haiti?

Unless, someone or a small group is benefit from a corrupted, under the table deal with American Airlines.

It's like business 101. Open up the market (airport) to allow other airlines to enter Haiti.

This will push the airlines to compete among themselves and drive the price down for our Haitian People (your own blood, your Haitian People) and a lot more people would enter the country and boost up the economy.

Please tell us, what is so complicated about doing that?

I do not expect a response but if you do respond that would certainly clear things up for a lot of us.

Keep in mind that airlines are not going to come to Haiti without a lucrative offer or some types of waiver on a few things such as landing fees, rental space, business licenses and others for a set or short period of time.

If it is too complicated for this government to manage, why do you have a separate agency manage the airport(s) and make annual payments to the government?

It seems to work in other countries, why not give it a try?

There is so much money that can be generated from an airport to help many other department of the government that are struggling.

Again, I repeat - what is so complicated about doing that?
