Preval Proposes Revision of 1987 Constitution

President Rene Préval wants to engage the process of revision of the Constitution of 1987. He announces the creation of a workgroup having to formulate "concrete" proposals in that direction.

President Rene Preval believe that the integration of the Haitian diaspora in the businesses of the country will be one of the aspects to be considered within the framework of the revision of the Haitian constitution.

President Preval made the announcement Monday at the Parliament during the opening of the first ordinary session of the legislative year.
