About students studying abroad

Studying abroad is a great thing.

After High school in the US I wanted to study abroad I got accepted to the University of Montreal in Canada but in the end I chose a university in the US in my state because I wouldn't have to pay the outrageous tuition international students are forced to pay. If a student has the financial resources then go for it. But in the case of Haiti it's not worth sending students abroad.

Like I said earlier most of the students do not go back to Haiti after graduation.

That would have been fine if they were the ones finanacing their own education, but the Haiti is. Secondly many more students would benefit if the government brought in the professors from other countries to teach instead instead of sending a few students abroad.

Like I've often said it's time we start looking out for our own national interests.
