Certainly, those Haitians lived in the past but their legacy remains: toussaint, christophe, firmin, cauvin, madiou...etc...You come across as if you are the only Haitian for the past 220 years or so who has brain and the desire to put it to use for the good of Haiti.

No, you are not.
Start by praising the legacy of the great ones that came before you and you will show me you got brain.

Those great ones that I mentioned above did try the best they knew how to put mother Haiti on a path of progress for the posterity; it appears as if they did not succeed much not because they did not have brain but because Haiti's enemies are numerous.

Do not confuse cause and effect.

Certainly, with 80% of the educated Haitians living outside of Haiti, one cannot help notice the 20% still living in Haiti alone may not be enough to lift the country up. However, lack of brains is not Haiti's main problem.

I can guarantee you much of the Reform of Haiti that you are preaching contains lots of materials similar to Firmin's or Marcelin's or even Cincinnatus Leconte's extensive studies about Reform in Haiti.

I am very much interested in your thesis nonetheless I am even more interested in finding out what is your concrete participation in lifting Haiti's up. Educated, well-minded Haitians need to put our money where our mouths are.
Many Haitians have done a lot for Haiti.

The task has always been enourmous especially with the heavy burden called the Independence debt of April 17th 1825.
One final point, the present, what you call now, is a variant of the past. The past is a time variable, certainly; but History is a social science, it is not the past.
So long
