Saul

Do you realize none of these countries you mentioned on the list speak English as their second official language except the Americans for whom English is their native language?

First of all, is there a place on the planet where English is not spoken?

I don't think so! English is spoken everywhere in the world including Haiti except not necessarily as their second langaue.

I get offended about the notion coming out of Haitians that makes it sound like unless we are Americans/americanized Haiti will never go anywhere as if only Americans have the total knowledge and the know-how about everything there is on the planet.

I really take offense to that.

We now calling Haitian to adopt English as their second language even though after 34 years of American occupation of Haiti, English had never become their second Language.

I don't know why, but I have a big feeling that even if Haitians would use English as their second language and things still remained the same, they will then require that Haitian become Americans and white Americans as solution to the problems.

Enough of ALL of the BS people!

The problem of Haiti lies solely on the incompetence and the nediocrity of all of us, Haitians.

The so-called leaders who are running the country have no idea and no concept of governing.

And all that interwind with all of the economy sanctions being slapped on Haiti for decades.

Haiti cannot go forward because of trillions of dollars of debts for wich Haiti is paying million of dollars in interest every month.

Haiti's annual spending is three time bigger than its annual revenues.

There aren't foreign investers in Haiti not because Haitians don't speak English as their second language, but rather due to the economic sanctions.

US and the rest of the international community refuse categorically to bring their factories to Haiti because Haiti has been bared from doing business and trade with the rest of the world.

US foreign policy has forced Haiti to import ALL of its food supply from US at a cost of billions of dollars which caused the elimination of the national product.

This year alone, Haiti has imported its food supply at a cost of 5 billion dollars while Haiti exported only at a cost $500 million.

None of that is a result of Haitian not speaking English as their sencond language.

You cannot have an economy if you don't have anyone to do commerce and trade with.

If we, Haitians, want to get our country out of the shit hole it is in, we have to take the streets in protest every day demanding US/IMF/BID, etc..

to forgive all Haiti's debts now as they already done for a lot of other countries, and demand that US and the international community to lift all economic sanctions and embargoes imposed on Haiti, and allow Haiti's right to do business and trade with the rest of the world just like every other country is doing.

Language is not the cause of our misery, but the racist and malicious policy of the United States and the rest of the international community.
