Haiticherie, you said "where do we start?"

1. You might want to start the process by not thinking that you are the only one who has ever thought about "where do we start?"

2. You might want to do your homework, and see how many great ideas have already been posted on this particular site before you got here. How many creative thoughts were debated to arrive at joint understanding of things that might work and not work.

3. Perhaps if you started from a humility position, you might have wanted to find out how some great professors, doctors, engineers, anthropologists, students, and normal everyday people who care, have spelled out some great and detailed propositions right here on this blog. For example, we've already discussed the education subject several times, for several months, and with several great and bad ideas.

DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE YOU ASK OTHERS TO LISTEN TO YOU.

4. You might start by listening more to what other bloggers who have been discussing the Haiti problems are saying, before you start trying to show us how much better you are at finding the solutions for Haiti.

For example, were you to go back to some post, you might find that several bloggers spent time discussing the deforestation issue, and that we had a blogger who had a great plan on reforestation.

SO:
A. DO YOUR HOMEWORK.That's always the best place to start.

It curves arrogance, because it will show you how much of what you think you know, that you actually don't.

B. CHECK YOUR KNOW-IT-ALL ATTITUDE.

People listen better to those who show that they are also listening to them.

C. Those of us who have been on this blog a long time already went through the "what do we do now question" several times and simply don't have the energy to respond to it anymore.

DO YOUR HOMEWORK, THAN YOU WONT HAVE TO ASK THAT QUESTION.

But I guarantee you, that you will have other questions--better questions.
