Can you help me please?

To the President of Haiti
I want to help my country with all my heart.

Like millions of other haitians, i don't know where to start.

I have hundreds of ideas, but there's not much i can do by myself, without support.

I thought the President of the country would be a great place to start.

I wanted to talk to you personally about these things, but I don't know how to get in touch with you other than through this blog. Plus, I'm not going to be saying anything that the people can't hear.I'm not trying to run for president.

I'm actually asking for your help. I'm asking for your permission to let the people speak their mind wihtout being afraid and to also get your insight on ideas that i put up on this blog. I'm so passionate about seeing a change in Haiti, and I realize its not going to happen unless we all come together and do something about it. I dream of the day when we can see Haiti as "La Perle des antilles" as it truly is. Haiti is a beautiful country, full of beautiful and loving people.

The desire in my heart to see the people live an easier, more bearable life is overwhelmed.

I believe I can do something about it. I will however need the support and understanding of the people and the person in charge of the country(you).

I hope you can provide such support.

What I'm trying to do is not political.

I want to see my people living a better and happier life. I strongly believe that the way to save this country is by:
- Focusing on the children for they are the future, the hope and the wealth of the country.

They are our most valuable assets.

- Empowering the brain with knowledge (EDUCATION)
- Providing work for the people
- Establish a better health care system
- Security for everybody
- Housing
- Encouraging artistic behavior by providing the necessaries
- Believing in each other and working with each other
I know that this is a big list with a lot of things that are really hard to start, but it can be done. The country needs hope. President-elect Barack Obama have given the world hope. Now its time for us as a people to make the first step toward working hard for what we want and believe in. Nothing is impossible.

we just need to have a first step. I thought my first step would be to reach out to the people, ask them for their opinion.

How they think they could change certain things.

These changes will take time and lots of efforts.

I'm willing to give my time and effort if they willing to give me the support.

Again, I just need your permission to start that process.

I thought the first step would be for us to Talk about it as a people.

The first step to solve any problem is to know what that problem is.With your permission I can continue working on that step. We can all expand on it and move to the other steps.
