SAN CRISTÃ"BAL. - President Leonel Fernandez yesterday headed the inaugural of 416 houses built at a cost of RD$291 million for the victims of the storms Olga and Noel in this province.

After the ceremony dozens of people who said they were also affected complained they were excluded from the list of beneficiaries.

San Cristóbal's Villa Progreso project, begun at the end of last year to lodge the families who lost their homes to the storms, consist of two blocks of two-story houses and 16, 42 square meter apartments on 17,472 square meters of land. They have drinking water, a sewage system with a treatment plant, asphalted streets, parking and green area.
