When Haiti was ruled by those from the more educated classes it was never in the condition that it is today.

That does not mean that the Western nations were not busy trying to destroy us, but we held our own against some major powers.

The complete deconstruction of Haiti begin after the death of Duvalier pere, who was a maniacal dictator, who kept the people illiterate and killed anyone who disagreed with him, but during his time the country was still respected in the international community.

Haiti has never been in the shape that it is today, with complete starvation, absolutely no infrastructure, a culture on the verge of completely disappearing, and a government that act like monkeys on a tree. For those of you who don't know, there was a time that those of us outside, even with all the political issues, we were proud to be Haitian.

Ignorant fools have not always ruled our country.
