The Dominican Republic is now sending humanitarian aid to Haiti.

Haitian President Rene Preval thinks it will help "change the Haitian people's perception of the Dominican authorities".

Haitian President Rene Preval thinks it will help "strengthen the ties of brotherhood between Dominicans and Haitians".
