It is a government's job to uphold a constitution that was generated by the people for the people, but what most of you discussing this fail to take into consideration is that the constitution that we think of as our own now was not actually formulated by the Haitian people for Haitian benefits.

Since 1915, the mandates of our constitutions have been dictated to us by the United States.

So the question is: were these new constitutions ever written with the Haitian people's benefit in mind.
