What does that mean when a person says they would like to see "zero tolerance" in Haiti.

Does that mean that from now on the people who are starving and eating mud will be able to find jobs that will pay them at least basic wages, so that they can feed their families.

If that is the plan, I am all for it. However, if you are one of those people who sit in the comfort of their home, eating and drinking when they are hungry and thirsty than pass judgment on those people who are eating mud and are forced into criminal behavior to feed their children, than I suggest you reanalyze what your concept of "zero tolerance" actually implies.

It's one thing when you have jobs and people choose a life of crime; it's a whole other thing when the country offers absolutely no prospect to its citizen and than expects them to remain silent, peaceful, and legal.
