Who Colonized the UNITED STATES

I've been searching through the internet for over a month looking for the United States Colonial master but i couldnt get the answer but i heard from a friend who said it was British and he sai British colonized by the French.

Hmm is this historical or an officail answer or just a thought.

Okay i woul like to know who colonized the USA because USA colonized Libaria here in Africa.
