Mr. Trebu I read your comment, it is very insightful and really I appreciate it. Your statement is in a sense a finalization of my first comment.

You are correct in saying that"if we forget or fail to learn from the past then we are subject to repeat it".

From my personal observation the majority of past leaders have failed.

Consequently we cannot afford to relive the past. However, at the moment I believe our primary concern should be security, economic development, stability and a much needed clean up of the judicial system.

We cannot afford anymore failures;therefore, we must support the Preval Alexis government to give them a fair chance at success.

While remaining vigilant and avoid falling in a state of complacency and bias. We must always denouce the abuse of power.

What often irritates me is the messianic view many Haitians have toward their presidents.

It's the underlying cause of corruption and abuse, far too many leaders are not held accountable because in the eyes many some presidents are incapable of doing anything wrong.

There has been a lot political assassinations in the country those who committed these atrocious crimes should be convicted.

However because animosity is high on all sides the prosecution of these individuals should be left in the hands of future generations who will probably be a little less bias and resentful.

I'm 25 years old, I left Haiti in the early 90s when Aristide was first elected president growing up and going to school in the US has made me realize how important education is. Far too many Haitians are undereducated that's why they're easily fooled by politicians.

I've had some great high school teachers and college professors who taught me the importance of impartiality and the ability for one to think for himself.

I'm working hard to become fluent in French because my dream is to back to Haiti and help my country by contributing to the educational system.

Improving the educational system will help solve some of Haiti's problems.
