I have been one of the people who strongly accused and questioned Preval's performance.
I have always made sure that I based my accusations on facts.
Recently, on this blog, we've had rumors being spread about if Preval did or did not go to or graduate from certain universities.
After much research, I've concluded that just from the articles on the Internet there's no way to tell.
Most of the articles mention something about the colleges, but none are specific about dates and accomplishments.
The man has done a lot of harm to my people, but I deal in facts.
The problem with most Haitians is that we tend to follow the crowd and their rumors.
In this case, unless someone has some specific data supporting the argument that Preval did not graduate or got all "Fs," I think it is silly to accuse him of anything.
Now, that does not mean that we can't discuss the importance of him having or not having the college degree that he claims to have, but we should refrain from making stuff up. It's the same thing with the whole internet myth about the US taking over Haiti.
It was OK to discuss what it would mean if that were the case as long as there was an understanding that the story was not true.
Let's stop making stuff up. Maybe a reporter will take the time to investigate this Preval school thing, but the truth is that now it's irelavant anyway, he's already the president.
