Dear Leonne; Have you noticed the difference between the behavior of children raised in the US and those of children from anywhere else in the world? Have you noticed the end product of children raised in the US vs. children raised anywhere else in the world.
Have you noticed the ease with which children in the US give in to their slightest impulses, the rate of teenage suicides, the rate of drug addiction, the rate of crimes committed by teens and young adults, the rate of sexual digression in kids as young as nine years old, the rate of Americans who become sexual predators, etc. If your American concept of child rearing is so sound, why do we have the world's highest rate of everything negative in teen and young adults.
These differences are the result of an overly irresponsible behavior of none engagement, which is what your type of child discipline is..A parent who is not willing to take a strong stand for their child is not a real parent.
Be careful not to join a cause, just because it's prettier or easier on your guilt system.
