During my last trip to Haiti, I notice that religious fanatics dominated the lives of the less fortunate members of our population.
So I did a little research.
What I found was shocking.
Most of the people I interviewed (talked to), about what these new god forsaken missionaries were teaching, responded that one of the first thing they learned was that our leaders--those who freed us from slavery--were evil because they believed in Voudou.
From the missionaries they learned that what our “evil” leaders did to free us is what caused the conditions in our country today.
I got the same response from all those with whom I talked.
This undermining of our history by these religious-racist fanatics really worries me.
