The dictionary definition for wisdom is:knowledge of what is true or right,discernment, or insight: also it's to behave in a wise manner and say wise things that enlighten, edify or educate another.
With age one should realize that things are not always what they appear to be. You display wisdom and maturity when you respond to someone respectfully even when they're wrong.
Being knowledgeable about something shouldn't make you arrogant.
Do not confuse wisdom with perception.
Wisdom involves facts, another word for perception is viewpoint your viewpoint or perception of something might be accurate or faulty.I'm 25 years old and i know how to carry a respectful debate without letting emotion dictates what i say. I'm learned over the past 25 years that i will not agree with everything people say but that doesn't mean i should attempt to silence the person nor do i find it necessary to disrespect or belittle someone whom i disagree with.
Sometimes they might have something to teach you. People often put down others to feel good about themselves.
Sometimes they classified others as ignorant, unimportant so they themselves will feel important.
But there is no lasting consolation in this kind of rational.
In the philosophy of democracy you find FREEDOM OF SPEECH.
