My garcon de cours ou gérant lacou was fortunate to come to the United States thanks to my mother who had plenty of connections.
After my garcon de cours ou gérant lacou spent 10 years in New York, he became rich and he actually bought my mother a brand new 4X4 Toyota double cabin and a truck for my father.
He is the only Haitian I know of who owns an estate in East Hampton, New York. The first time I visited with him, I was shocked and very proud of him. And, most importantly, he always has respect for me, and he doesn't show any arrogance whatsoever.
